Using Grappling To Fight On The Street

I have been reading many articles recently about the effectiveness of the grappling arts in a street confrontation.

I would like to offer my opinion on this topic - and it is quite simple. If you are in a life or death struggle - go to the unified laws of combat and think of all the things that are illegal and DO THOSE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT (it probably does)!

Biting changes things - there are martial arts that have biting as their cornerstone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinamotay

Eye gouging probably changes things more than bites (unless you are Yuki Nakai of course).

And the mother of all fight enders in my opinion is the groin strike. Study Johnny Cage or David Golata footage. But even these are not effective 100% of the time.
